There are a few reasons that trigger people to get into a relationship. Normally they are just some right feeling, timing and the right way of expressing love. But when a relationship develops, ppl usually get diverted from their initial principles and concepts. Slowly, jealousy, obsession, fear, and many more joins in, not to mention stress and pressure. These unwanted traits come in all because the lovers are caring too excessively and the fear of losing makes them control. All they forgot was that at the moment they pledge to love each other and committed in a relationship, the only aim was to enjoy the just right kind of feelings, the right attitude, the right timing, the right actions, the right amount of care.
But as relationship progresses, couples are starting to label their partners as theirs. With this ownership then comes the invisible authority to control, which sometimes people call it as “commitments”. Why are there commitments when this relationship is yet a marriage? In a marriage, its different, because with marriage, a family is started, and the sole reason there is the concept of family is to provide support between people. Thats when people are committed to take care of one another.
In a relationship far before marriage, these commitments shouldn’t exist, or they should but in minimal. No one gets into a relationship to enjoy the commitments. All they want was to enjoy each other.
I finally realise where the mistakes are. If ‘it’ really can’t be continued now, I won’t hold on to it, because i know i have diverted far beyond the reasonables. I don’t mind revert back to our pre-r/s status, because i finally understand that we got tgt because of those uncommitted and 刚刚好 kind of care for each other. It maybe too late, but it can start all over again, even from friendship, i would give it a try and will keep in mind the initial purpose of the r/s.
p.s. i love you

Well, the experience has changed since two weeks ago. Things are getting more fun than expected. At least there are more than meet the eyes in the audit world. I realise, its not just about auditing, its about understanding how different companies work.
In a short 3 weeks, I have seen alcohol brewing factory, precision workshop and get to more about accounts and taxes. Although I am just a trainee without proper qualifications and knowledge, I am empowered. I can actually act like an auditor with actual authority for verifying certain issues by questioning the client (normally the director of the company). This kind of authority kinda feels good, but somehow I ask myself this “why would I want to ensure that your reported account is accurate and honest?” Does it matter to me if it is not? I merely know that I am carrying out instructions and doing my job, which is to check and verify. I wonder if I would have the kind of motivation to become an auditor when I can’t find a purpose to all those vouching and verifying other than performing my task in return for the payroll. Right now, its the desire to learn and explore that fuel me in this holiday job.
So, I guess auditor is a job for people who enjoy checking on others and pick on their flaws. This is just a personal opinion as of now, my idea of this job will change as I find out more. Like I used to think its boring when I started it, and I find it interesting after 2 weeks.

Do you think the people around you portray their authentic and genuine side of theirs or do they disguise themselves under the lamb skin to make themselves look friendly and tame?
Just like the picture below. Don’t be fooled, its not a cute beetle, its a cute pig! It’s still cute though. Were you bluffed by it’s black beetle suit?

In the midst of work now but I am slacking off a bit. I have already finished the work scheduled to me for this week, I have audited 2 companies so far. Right now working on next week’s work. I see my colleagues here always work OT as they have to struggle with their current audit while revising the audited report done weeks ago until they are aprroved by 3 levels of officers before they are printed and published. I heard its worse in the big four! Lucky me, I am new so maybe more relax, so I am here to share with you a cute photo I took while I was helping my girlfriend moving her room.

Holiday has just started for 1 week and I have started working. So, holiday ain’t a holiday for me. I am now working in UHY Diong as an audit trainee, but I do NOT major in accountancy. I thought it will be good to get some work experiences from related fields, to get an idea on how different jobs operate. Now I know it clear that an auditor’s job is highly repetitive and routine. On my second day at work, my senior posed me this question “Do you think you still want to be an auditor in the future? (he assumed that I major in accountancy)” My answer was obvious, “I don’t think so”. He said many trainees gave up on being an auditor after their internship.
As an intern, I thought my job would be much simpler and more time for completion. Know what? I was only given 2 days to complete my first task. I have to learn everything from scratch, yet time was so little. Thanks to the accounting module that I took last sem, things were easy to understand, I can’t imagine how it would be if I have not taken financial accounting. I think it would be something like “huh, what’s trial balance? what’s debit and credit?”
It’s merely the 3rd day now and I am thinking of what I will do after my last day in mid July. What will you do this summer holiday?

I am back in Penang! This time I took Airasia from JB. At first I wanted to take taxi to Senai airport, but come to think of it, 40 ringgit taxi fare is a bit expensive, so I try my luck taking the bus from Kotaraya to Senai. I was lucky enough to reach Kotaraya 5 mins before the departure of the bus. The best part of it is, it only cost me RM8 to go from Kotaraya to Senai Airport!
Interesting enough, the well-known free seating and no frills Airasia now assigns specific seats. I gotten seat 31A, which is the last row window seat. Trust me, next time do spend another RM5 to choose your seat because I don’t think you will enjoy the rough ride at the tail of the plane. The ideal seats are somewhere in front or near the wings, those are the steady part of the plane.

One thing I don’t like about Airasia is their website which indirectly “forces” or “induces” you to pay for the unneccessary insurance and seat selection. Normally, our instinct will ask us to click “OK” when we deselect or select something, but in Airasia.com, you need to click “Cancel” to reaffirm your selection or deselection. Why “Cancel” when “Cancel” in computer sense normally means cancelling the operation or aborting.
Do remember to remove the useless insurance (GoInsure) or the seat selection to save some dollars!
*To go from Singapore to Senai Airport, take MRT to Marsiling and take SMRT Bus 950 until Kotaraya. Go to the Airport lounge to purchase the bus ticket and board the bus to Senai. Total cost: RM10++

Went back to Penang last Friday to celebrate my birthday with my family and now I am back to Singapore to move my stuff to another room. Its a headache, the hostel should have better system for holiday storage. I store all my stuff at my gf’s place, but she needs to change room because her block will be shut down during the holiday, so, I have to come back and help her move my stuff. Things are actually more complicated than this. The management office told her that for the 2nd part of the vacation stay, she would have to shift again. Shifting is a waste of manpower!
I took Five Stars coach back to Penang last week, and i took the same bus back to Singapore. It was $64 one-way to Penang and RM80 one-way to Singapore. The bus ride was one of the best among those I have taken, the seats are huge, really XXXL. It has a massaging chair, screen with Video on Demand and some 8-bits computer games! But trust me, you will never play the game or use the massaging functions for more than 5 mins. I just sleep throughout the bus ride. The video library was somehow limited, so the bus is only good for its XXXL chair. Recommended for those who want a comfortable ride to and fro Singapore.
I’ll be going back to Penang this Friday night, by Airasia from JB.

Have finished 2 papers and left with 3 more to go. Accounting yesterday was disappointing. Its not very up to standard as compared to the past years papers. Almost everything was given, and we were merely required to press the calculator and fill in the blanks (of the DIRECT method Cash Flow Statement). Not challenging at all, I expected the question to be similar to past years, preparing the whole statement by indirect method, that’s tougher and challenging. An easy paper doesn’t distinct put the better ones and the not as good ones apart. Most likely everyone can conquer the paper easily, the catch is to see who makes more careless mistakes. Nonetheless, I’m glad it is over.
I am sure this mugging period, everyone has their own favourite mugging spot for themselves. I generally prefer the library because of the big and spacious table where I can spread out all my materials. But since the mugging waves had swept through all of us and getting stronger as exam approaches, the library become more and more crowded. Is this the effect of network externalities? The relative cost of studying decreases as exam comes (good results good pay - lower relative cost!), so more people started studying. As more people are seen studying, the more worried one gets, and the fear of losing prompts them to work as hard. Isn’t this network externalities or I just went crazy reading my Microeconomics textbook?
In case I give you the impression that I camp at the library, I do study in my room too, when the weather is not too hot or when the library is closed!

My very messy table! You can check out the before HERE

This is not my room! Its the library. Seems like Nescafe is a MUST-HAVE for muggers, I prefer redbull though.

To allow myself to focus better, I decided not to bring my laptop along. If not, I will be tweeting or poker-ing. I only brought iPod touch and my operation management text with me. I was taking a break and was playing (distracted) with my iPod touch. It’s been very long since I actually using any of the functions like web browsing, or other applications. I checked my gmail and viewed a few PDF files. To my surprise, PDF loads way faster on my iPod touch than on adobe reader. I guess APPLE’s implementation of their software is really up to standard. I am seriously considering buying a iPhone for it’s functionality, do you want one too?
Woke up rather late today, thinking that I should rest more so that I can study more effectively. But my mind keep wandering off to post exam/holiday plans. I shall focus harder! Can’t wait for this to end. Good luck!
*fyi, I am using this little app called wordpress to update this post from my iPod touch, cool stuff

When a person studies too much, the head tends to go crazy thinking of something unrelated and tend to do something else like blogging. Anyway, I was studying half way then I realise I keep falling asleep. Then I try to wake myself up and recall what I have read. Then I need a large space for me to write down what I read. So, the creative me, DIY-ed a whiteboard by pasting a piece of plastic book wrapper against the wall. Its quite effective though, standing up writing on it did prevent me from falling asleep. But my leg and my back a bit tired after standing so long. Nonetheless, a good way to visualise the flow and concept. Strongly recommended!
Also, using this method save (a few) trees as you use less papers (i use tissue to wipe though), but damage the ozone because you use white board marker. Perhaps a large touchscreen monitor is the best, save forest, save ozone! But, electricity from fossil fuels = global warming! Nothing is perfect ya.
